Ge Qun Wang, tenor is a native of China, performed the leading role in the Los Angeles Opera production of On Gold Mountain, covered Rodolfo in Philadelphia Opera's production of La Boheme, and has performed the roles of Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Lensky (Eugene Oniegin), Idomeneo (Idomeneo), Vaudemont (Iolantha), and Nemorino (L'Elisir d'Amore). He received his B.A. in vocal performance at the Shan Dong institute of Arts and late attended the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia where he received his Master's Degree in Music. Ge Qun's many honors and awards include First Prize at the National Vocal Competition in Shanghai, the Mario Lanza International Competition, and the Connecticut Opera Guild Competition.


In the year of 2007, he won the Sun Valley Opera international vocal competition. Ge Qun has given recitals in China, South Asia, and the US, and has appeared in interviews on Fox 11 in Los Angeles, on NPR's Voices of America, and has received outstanding reviews by both the L.A. Times and the World Journal. Ge Qun completed the post-graduate program at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he performed the leading role in the Tales of Hoffman. In years 2002 and 2003, Ge Qun sang for the President of the Peoples' Republic of China, also in year 2008, he sang for Mayor Newsom's inauguration ceremony.… GQ will be accompanied by Xiao Xiao Ji at St Dominic's Catholic Church in February. She graduated with honors from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 2007. She was also the second prize winner of Shang Hai piano competition in 2006 and currently is a student at the San Francisco Conservatory of music Master's degree program.
