Davide Verotta, Piano, Teacher, Composer

Davide Verotta studied piano in Milano, with Isabella Zielonka Crivelli, Ernesto Esposito, and Giacinto Salvetti, and than in San Francisco, with Renee Witon, Peggy Salkind, Robert Helps, and Julian White. Academic studies in composition are much more recent, starting in 2006 (SFSU graduate program, with Richard Festinger and Josh Levine), and, 2007 onward, in the PhD program at UC Davis (with Kurt Rhode and Laurie St Martin). He performs regularly in the Bay area as a piano soloist, is a pianist with the San Francisco Composers' Chamber Orchestra, and a member of the composers' group Irregular Resolutions. A UCB graduate in an unrelated field, he teaches piano in his piano studio in San Francisco's Richmond district and at the Community Music Center in San Francisco.
Davide has been the featured guest artist on 5 Aids/Lifecycle Concert Series in 2008.
